I love Star Wars, but I'm far off from Star Wars Nerd status. But even if I was, I'm pretty sure I'd think this movie was an uncreative waste of time. Eh, fun cameos and cute at some points.

Do you like Star Wars? Do you REALLY like Star Wars? If the answers were yes, then you'll get something out of this movie. I thought it was funny and enjoyable. It was nothing amazing, but I enjoyed it.

It's quite simple. If you're a fanboy you'll probably laugh throughout, even if you admit the movie's flawed in many places (as is Star Wars to be honest). If not, you'll probably hate it. Also it's good to watch with a bunch of other Star Wars geeks (or even Trek fans), to spot the quoted lines and the cameos, in order not to engage any critical facilities you possess.

As far as comedies go this one wasn't that funny. It felt like they could have done more with the premise but instead chickened out and played it safe. This could have be a decent sleeper but the execution was poor with what they had to work with. I do have to give credit the cameos that were in this movie. It was enjoyable just to see who would appear next.

A noble effort at being a love letter to Star Wars fandom falls far from the mark, due to the main substance being an archetype that we've all seen before in every road trip movie since the dawn of man, and that archetype has been done far better elsewhere, with more passion. Fanboys swings robotically from average to mediocre to flat-out disappointing at the drop of a hat. There are few funny moments.

At its best, it's a good time and has some great moments, nods & cameos but the genuine humour is sporadic and uses the references to disguise the tired shtick at its core.

A fun little comedy dedicated to Star Wars geekdom. Your level of enjoyment will depend on how well you know that franchise and how often you've encountered its most dedicated fans - if you can recognize Ray Park without his Darth Maul makeup and know where Chewbacca was born you'll find this film mostly funny. That said the humor gets repetitive near the end of the film, and the acting isn't strong enough (other than Kristen Bell) to make you go "Awwww" when it tries to hit your emotions.

Really a film just for Star Wars fans. The cameos are fun and the soundtrack is rocking, but a lot of the jokes fall flat. It has it's moments and can be fun to sit through with friends, but most of the comedy falls too far into the standard fare for this type of film to be funny.

It was born with dated characters and jokes, and it never feels as funny as it should be -- actually, it feels irritating, this said by a Star Wars fan. If there is anything decent here, it's the cameo footage -- Harry Knowles' and Shatner's are awesome. And that's all.

Its a nice cute comedy full of surprising cameos and interesting twits. Loved Rogan in his double role and Kristen Bell is always fun to watch. Maybe the movie was made with a certain demographic in mind, but aren't all movies.

Befitting its troubled production history, the film plays like it had an overabundance of distracted cooks toiling in its messy kitchen. It has a few playful gibes at the wild enthusiasm of Lucas acolytes, a couple effective inside jokes, and cameos that wink at the audience with such aggression that they almost count as harassment. It's a cute, clever idea, but it takes more than that to make something that actually feels like it deserves to be a movie.
