Summary: Jack Carver, a former member of the Special Forces takes the journalist Valerie Cardinal to an Island to visit her uncle Max who is working in a Military complex on the Island. As they arrive Valerie gets captured by the minions of Doctor Krüger. Jack does not care about her until his boat explodes. After the destruction of his boat Jack finds out about the true purpose of the Facilities on the Island, which is the creation of genetically modified soldiers. (Wikipedia)

I think this is a pretty good action flick that has a lot of nods to the game. It is a little strange that so many of the characters have foreign accents. The special effects are awesome, there's lots of explosions and slo-mo type scenes, and I didn't care so much about the plot-holes, so I was pretty entertained here, and that's what counts for me.

This movie is balls to the walls stupid but honestly it's more competently shot than a lot of his others. However the plot is dumb, the dialog is so atrociously bad that even if Uwe got some A-list actors in the film it would still be horrendously. Avoid this one, even as a Uwe "So Bad It's Good" Boll film that people seem to like it's terrible.

I've not played the game this is based on. If said game involves a German soldier and his morbidly obese comedy sidekick fighting an array of bald silver men in a corridor then this is a very good adaptation.

Many people give this a zero rating without actually seeing it, but it is the best film by Uwe Boll so far (which basically means "not THAT bad"). Reminds me of those low budget action movies from the 80s. Maybe someday Uwe will make a decent movie...

Don't watch it, the action is pretty dumb, the acting is dumb, the location is not even a tropical island. No beaches to be seen, it's filmed in Canada. The mutants are low budget, the deaths and sounds are terrible. Jack Carver has a german accent and while he's not terrible the movie pretty much is. Even makes Yuri from red alert look bad.
