haha, mahky mahk. william petersen continues to be the lamest actor ever.

A film that constantly makes one wonder why the hell he is watching it. From an idea perspective, its point is that...some boyfriends are violent and possessive? Really? From an entertainment perspective, we get to see Wahlberg act ANGRY and beat guys up in standard, boring scenes. So, what's the reason to watch this? Perhaps so girls can stare at Marky Mark's toned abs, and guys can marvel at Milano and Witherspoon's breasts? Fuck that; I expect a legitimate movie here, not softcore porn!

Quite good thriller.

This movie is OK, but quickly dissolves into a realm where I could no longer suspend disbelief.

Markey Mark (minus the Funkey Bunch) is psychotic in this movie. His role is great in this. Oh and um Reese Witherspoon is in this, too.

Not a very good movie at all. Nothing really original or exciting or entertaining at all. Wahlberg is alright but certainly doesn't make this movie worthwhile.

At least Alyssa Milano is really hot in it

this movie is awesome! i kinda hated it the first time but now i love it! mark wahlberg and reese witherspoon are two of my fav. actors. and i love the story. i love psychothrillers so much!

He's not scary. At all. He's actually rather pussified. Especially his low, kinda girl voice. I would have just kicked his ass and told him to shoo.

it's got a lot of terrible ratings on here, but I'm a sucker for thrillers and this one isn't all that bad, is it? It's a cliche genre movie and it doesn't have nearly enough balls for my taste (its all in the story, the execution could have been grittier) but it has pretty good performances and I'm a fan of the genre. The whole finale is a worse version of the Straw Dogs ending, but if you're going to copy, copy from the best. I just wish this movie had the balls of straw dogs or cape fear.

The movie isn't that memorable but Alyssa Milano is so much fun to look at, who cares how good the movie is?

Incredibly stupid, conservative and anti-sex but there's a lot of "90s erotic teen thriller" fun to be had if you shut your brain off and enjoy all the trashy melodrama and 90s aesthetics (even though the cheap thrills of Marky Mark shirtless at his peak and Reese Witherspoon's short skirts can't hide the abysmal script). The infamous rollercoaster fingerbang scene however is genuinely amazing and perfect in every way (hence a higher score here then it actually deserves).
