A surprisingly fun, chaotic and schlocky little horror, with an interesting cast.

Very gory horror comedy, but most of the comedy lies in terrible one liners and meta horror movie humour, so while it keeps the tone light amidst the horror chaos it's not actually funny. It does have very energetic and well executed pacing so I can see how it can be effective for those looking for this kind of horror, but that's not me.

An enjoyable film, which is all I think the creators were trying to pull off. Other critics here are right that this film did not break any new ground save some tongue-in-cheek pointing-and-laughing at the monster genre humor, but the film's overdone concept doesn't detract at all from what is simply a well-put together formula-driven creature feature.

Woah, unexpected. Sets up with every major "lock-in" horror stereotype you can imagine, and then they pretty masterfully turn 'em all on their heads. Ambitious SFX that work amazingly well. A self-aware, unpretentious, over-the-top cliche buster. The perfect horror-com for a good night with friends.

A great mix of classic survival horror and making fun of the genre conventions. If you're having a horror movie night with some people over, this one will get everybody pumped up.

Feast offers absolutely offers nothing new to the horror-survival monster genre at the least. Although it makes this up with a decent amount of badassery and nice gorey kills along with some nice creature-make up to boot, it's terribly rushed, sloppy, unoriginal and most of all: quite boring after a while. But boy, it is a damned entertaining ride.

The movie was funny, bloody and boring. Most of the dialogue was stupid and unneeded, but hey it's a bloody horror and mocks the usual horror clichés in a refreshing and funny way. Characters are poor but most of them die so what do I care!

I saw this years ago & didn't love it but lately been wanting to see it again & just bought a used DVD at a record shop in New Paltz for $3. I mean it's got Henry Rollins & Clu Gulager in it, I probably should own a copy.

It was ok as monster movies go, not as good as Host or Tremors but along those lines. Typical siege stuff that will never be as good as Assault On Precinct 13 or Dawn Of The Dead (can't believe I'm writing this but better point out that I mean the originals and not the remakes). Everything was derivative but it wasn't terrible.

Good marks in gore, monster make-up, and comedy factor, but it undoubtedly misses out on any flourish what-so-ever supplying only a menial story and flimsy dialog. I have no doubts that the spirit was in the right place, but the flesh ill carried out the intent.

It's as if the filmmakers assembled a cliché wish list and then subverted them all in accordance to their own desires as a viewer, and damned if it doesn't work exceedingly well.

This movie wastes no time, the action starts within 15 minutes and immediately sets the tone for the rest of the movie: it has a wicked sense of humor and tons of gore; it plays with stereotypes some, and the monsters are campy as hell, almost right out of the 80's. The cast is also great, basically putting the cherry on top of a great satirical piece made for horror fans, by horror fans.

It didn't really add anything to the genre, but it didn't need to. Feast knew it was a cheesy horror flick and ran with it in the most unpretentious way possible. Good fun, watch it with friends.

Pretty disappointing that Jason Mewes dies right at the beginning. He's basically the only reason I bothered watching this. Hardcore horror fans will probably enjoy this, but I didn't find any characters to care about, and this drains the film of any tension it may have had.

Pretty solid monster movie. I think it was going for a Scream-esque vibe, where it pokes fun at the genre in some ways, while still being an entry in that genre. It also borrows a page from Tremors by not explaining the monsters at all, just showing the way that this group of ordinary people figures out how to deal with the monsters. Even in the two sequels they don't really go into the backstory, just continue where this one left off, and generally disappoint most viewers.

Pretty fun & full of gore, with refreshingly scary creatures & a lightning fast pace. It's unpredictable, delivers on the promised brutality, & features a varied cast of characters who all offer something different. It's also a one-location movie, which is always going to be something I appreciate. The comedic moments don't always land very well, but there are some good gags. It also holds up remarkably well 17 years later, feeling much more modern than it probably should.

Decent on many levels, spectacular on none. Yes, there are a minibus-load of characters to keep track of, but they all fit their stereotypical roles to the T, so there's really no fear of getting lost...and speaking of fear, you won't find any here, as gore, penis jokes, and more gore fills the 90 minutes, leaving no room for anything more than a couple sporadic jump-inducing orchestra hits.

To be honest,Watching "Feast" is a lot of fun.Sure, this ugly-monster buffet is nothing new or spectacular in the genre. nevertheless, there are some campy yet interesting character to root for as they fight for survival.Despite the clique and total stereotype in creating the character, somehow this bad recipe makes John Gulager's "Feast" felt like so bad its good horror flick that made this gorry mess into a guilty pleasure. just enjoy the movie without seriousness and it might be a surprise.

Cleverly subversive script that turns every monster/survival convention upside down, but would have benefited from a better cast for the most part (Judah Friedlander and Henry Rollins are pretty cool though). Feels like a late 2000's Williamson/Craven collaboration, but without the mastery of the Craven.
