Summary: "If you build it, he will come." With thes words, Iowa farmer Ray Kinsella (Costner) is inspired by a voice he can't ignore to pursue a dream he can hardly believe. Supported by his wife Annie (Madigan), Ray begins the quest by turning his ordinary cornfield into a place where dreams can come true. Along the way he meets reclusive activist Terence Mann (Jones), the mysterious "Doc" Graham (Lancaster), and even the legendary "Shoeless Joe" Jackson (Liotta). (Universal)

If baseball is your favorite sport, it's kind of impossible to not at least like this film. Good, original fun, even if it leaves you with nothing more than a slightly warmer heart at the end.

A good story with quality acting and a handful of moving scenes. There are many silly ones too and the child actor is once again very irritating.

Perhaps the best baseball buddy film ever made. Sure there's not really that much actual baseball in it and calling Costner and Darth Vader's voice "buddies" might be a stretch but any movie based on building a diamond that summons famous ghosts makes it a-okay in my bible.
