Somethings in it were funny, somethings weren't. It really could have been a lot better and considering how much I like a lot of the people that were involved, it's a shame it wasn't.

Fun, light-hearted documentary about the universal experience of being fired. Great premise, but somewhat poor execution. Few of the comedians are given much opportunity to be funny, majority of the most interesting "getting fired stories" are teased and never delved into, the editing is distracting and sometimes confusing. At the credits you feel like you were just shown a long, cute, and subtle commercial for the book.

A charming and entertaining documentary about being fired made by the adorable Annabelle Gurwitch, galvanized by her experience of getting canned by Woody Allen. A lot of the people she interviews are professional comedians so there's a lot of funny material, and Gurwitch herself is funny and personable. It's pretty short and pretty funny.

Hard not to like this. Has most of my favorite people on earth in it.
