Some things are just better books! - The HG Wells story was dated when the film was made. Marry that with average stop frame animation, now very unimpressive SFX and a pedestrian pace and the problems mount. A good cast but just too much foam rubber and polysytrene for any film to be taken seriously however much a child of the sixties

a relatively interesting plot, but it's too farcical to be of any real entertainment value. the story is a bit bungled, and for being the sixties not too bad, but nothing really serious to see here, no a waste of time though.
