A Norwegian classic!

Every Norwegian has seen this movie one billion times, and it has received some amount of attention in other parts of the world as well. It's a nice, entertaining movie, but I'm not sure how well it translates to other cultures or even to other languages. There's something uniquely Norwegian about it.

Charming old-school animated film about small-town bicycle repairman building a weird-ass super-race car with oil money. Norwegian classic, great, memorable tunes, unsure how well it translates into other cultures. But would strongly recommend trying!

The story's simple and clichéd, but the film is still a very enjoyable experience. The music is good, the idiosyncratic characters are lovable and the stop motion is well done with wonderful character and object design.
