The film seems very disjointed and although there a couple of moments when you feel the emotion of the characters, Daniel Craig doesn't inspire any empathy for his character.

A film that seems to go nowhere. Daniel Craig wastes his talent in this film that tries very hard to get you to feel any kind of emotional connection to its plot.

It never seems quite sure what kind of film it wants to be, and it really is made up of two distinct halves: unfortunately, while the past and present elements don't sit particularly well together, they both feel lacklustre and ultimately fairly pointless, due in a large part to the relatively weak plot. May's performance stands out, but there's really very little to compete with.
