Vomit-inducing crap that attempts to deal with coming-of-age issues, but it does so in an agonizingly oversimplified, one-dimensional, and sanitized manner. Horrible from start to finish.

It didn't set a very difficult target for itself (young, white, 50's era elementary school romance/coming of age story), but at least it hit its target! That is to say, it's not a work of genius; however, its very simplicity makes it stand out above most of the rest of the hollywood fare you see.

Screw this movie and its cheekiness. I want to smack this film in the face and then kick dirt at it.

It might as well be a book-on-tape (not a very good one at that).

It was a nice and cute little movie. Not the best of its kind, but enjoyable. I wasn't too impressed by the lead actor playing the boy, but I thought the actress playing the girl was great. I really liked how it was told from both the characters' perspectives - seeing them see the same events differently.

I don't think I've ever seen a Rob Reiner movie I didn't like. Co-worker recently spoke of it so I watched it. It was a nice, endearing little film. The "two-sides" of things was kind of a neat presentation style. Only failing was not really explaining where the father was coming from in his constant anger.

Cute little film. The sanitized 50s setting really grates on me, especially since it's tangential at best to the story, but otherwise it was a really sweet, if simple, childhood romance. The shifting perspectives were a nice little touch.

A cute movie about adolescent love. The movie uses an interesting narrative.

I sat down to see a great horror movie and ended up with this by mistake. Actually the story was not bad. It was meandering like real life. I did not like voice-over and there was not that much of surprises on a way, but it was nice to end the day with it.

"A treacly tweener saga of first love that drowns in nostalgia, Flipped furthers Rob Reiner's slide into irrelevance." - Nick Schager

It's corny, predictable and thoroughly clichéd, but if that's the sort of feel-good flick you're after, 'Flipped' pulls it off with aplomb. A strong cast shoulders an amusing and resonant script with just enough cheek to get away with how stereotypical it is. The twist of showing both sides of the love story and the wholesomeness of setting it in the 60s adds further warmth and adorability.

Reminds me a lot of another Rob Reiner film, Stand By Me, in that it realisticly portrays kids, and both are period pieces. I think this was better, the relationships are more complex. The whole movie felt nostalgic. Madeline Carroll was cute, and was probably my favourite of the two. Her character seemed to grow more then Bryce, although he had an interesting arc too. Planting the tree was not only an apology, but it was a rebellion against his father and his social status with his peers.

ilk ask, okul arkadasi, komsu kizi, agac, doga sevgisi, (sicacik bir hikayesi olan, muhteşem bir film) mutlaka izlenmeli. İki kahraman hikayeyi ayri ayri anlatiyor.

Madeline Carroll has a gift but father and son Loskis are very annoying characters, which means one of the two sides of the storytelling is dumb. I enjoyed just the Bakers part.

Flipped made me squee with delight. I thought the story was beyond beautiful and wonderful, and hopefully not just because it involved kids.

Carried by some strong child acting and a story infused with optimism and nostalgia without veering into sap. Characters are largely developed, with only Bryce's father being portrayed as a one-dimensional villain. His lonely one note rings false in a chorus of harmonies.

Horrible, for so very many reasons. I'm not a fan of flicks that require narration to begin with, but this one has TWO narrators... and they're CHILDREN. It's twice as long as it needs to be (and about 7 times as long as the sappy material warrants) because after 10 minutes or so of action, it switches perspective--and narrator--and you get to re-watch what you just sat through from the other child's point of view. Pablum of the most bathetic sort. Rob Reiner, what the hell were you thinking??

While the back and forth, multi perspective narrative is a bit gimmicky and nauseating, it's definitely a poignantly used device. Though the retarded brother scene is a bit campy, overall, it's a nice, endearing, wholesome family film that oozes with hope and optimism--honestly what more could you ask for in a film. I don't know about the average person, but this was extraordinarily relatable, almost uncomfortably so. Good acting and character development. I look forward to the sequel.

Nostalgic look at unrequited teen romance. I have a feeling the script was better than the movie since the characters motivations don't really come across on screen.
