Apatow's crew has made another hilarious movie, SURPRISE SURPRISE. This time its Jason Segel's show, and he did a fantastic job as both the writer and the lead. I wouldn't put it on par with Knocked Up, but this is still a solid movie with a lot of laughs. Whoever the hell Russell Brand is, I want to see more of him; his character, Aldous Snow was fucking fantastic in every scene and had some of the funniest lines of the whole movie.

The film is the perfect representation about how you feel when you break up...Jason Segel is pretty damn good. If you get the chance, watch the deleted scene on the 2 disc edition where Kristen Bell is on the horse. Its fucking gold.

Hilarious! What a pleasurable moving-going experience. Jason Segal was excellent, as he often is. Russell Brand stole most of the scenes he was in. Non-stop laughing, and the rock opera scene at the end was magnificent..

There is such a thing as a comedy that is both sex-obsessed AND funny - see "Superbad" - but this movie is only one of those things. Guess which one!

In real life no one would actually believe a girl like Mila Kunis would fall for the lead. This is more or less an Apatow movie with Apatow alumni but without Judd Apatow directing. You can expect a lot of the same humor. The funniest person in the entire movie is probably Bill Hader. The rest of the movie has the usual romantic comedy jokes and everything is very predictable and follows the standard Hollywood formula.

Segel goes from funny Apatow bit-player to writing his own star vehicle, and has the unenviable task of following up Seth Rogen in doing so. The result doesn't score as huge as Knocked Up, but it does come close. The four leads are all great: Kunis adorably puts 'That 70s' behind her, and Bell and Brand bring a surprising amount of sympathy to their characters. Segel turns in star-making work, and the rock opera finale gives me hope for his Muppet movie. He's got a long career ahead of him.

A perfect example of how to make a used premise new, exciting, and hilarious. Despite its overall predictablitly, the movie was filled with great performances, impeccable timing, and many laughs.

It's not without its flaws, mostly the character development and ending (which I'm convinced was written differently, and changed at the behest of the studio) but Jason Segel is definitely a talented writer, and the cast is all great in their roles. All round, a great movie, worth seeing, if only for Russell Brand's brill one-liners.

Has an unconventional way to tell a very conventional story. There's a few moments that left me wanting more [Mila Kunis eeeeeeeeeeh] but Russell Brand is one funny bastard & Segal makes a convincing fem-male. Good stuff.

It's okay. The first half is hilarious--Jason Segel is a really funny guy. But, the second half is a little weaker, it turns into something like a chick flick and there aren't as many laughs.
