Summary: Baron Frankenstein has the body of a young woman and all it lacks is the spark of life. He captures the soul of a recently executed young man and installs it in the young maiden, Christina. With the memories from the young man still intact, she starts to kill the people whose false accusations led to the young man's execution. (imdb)

You have to expect some aspect of ridiculousness from Hammer Horror, for the most part, and this one concerns itself not with how mad Dr. Frankenstein is, or how evil he is, but some notion of the existence of souls. It's slightly interesting in that respect, and the final chapter is some true horror material (nowhere near as tame as previous entries), so I rank it as the best of this particular Frankenstein series.

after having seen a couple awesome hammer movies this is a harsh reminder of why cushing is associated with bad b-movies and hammer is remembered for pumping out them likewise.

While this film attempts to build up it's plot and characters for the finale it falls short. It takes way to long to get going and never really offered any thing that engaged me all that much.

Not a bad film at all. This version is concerned more with the soul, than just bringing a being to life. Definitely worth a look if you like Peter Cushing Frankenstein films.

Surprisingly good Hammer horror. The three fancylads kinda remind me of Alex's droogs in A Clockwork Orange.
