Christopher Isherwood winks at the audience all through this remarkable, classy reinterpretation of Shelley; meanwhile, a great cast plays it largely straight (pun intended -- Isherwood layered the script with homosexual themes and symbolism). Most atmospheric and lush, especially considering that this was a made-for-TV affair. Highly recommended to fans of horror literature.
