Summary: Though it wasn't Hammer Studios' final film, Frankenstein and the Monster from Hell can be considered its swan song, an intelligent, inventive, stylized reworking of the themes that had sustained the series for almost two decades. I haven't seen very much Hammer film, but this has to be the most grotesque/brutal I've seen yet. Fisher depicts everything in its grotesque charm and shoots the film in a solid, elegant way, without being flamboyant.
