Okay Movie

i just love these "nightmare" films

cinema-wise it's better than the original, better editing and directing, but still goofy and over the top. there's some pretty bad acting involved too.

This much maligned sequel is not the worst, but none the less it is bad, very bad.

Freddy the killer is noe Freddy the clown. Not scary at all, overley special effects, bad acting, and a crappy finale. Can't really get much worse

Ugh.

Fairly brainless. Fred again dispatches his victims with his patented blend of splatter and patter while transmogrifying into a psychedelic Freddy (to the strains of Iron Butterfly's "In-a-Gadda-Da-Vida", no less!), a video-game Freddy, et al.

An epigraph from Friedrich Nietzsche, a time-jump of ten years into the future, a heavy-metal song track, a cameo by Roseanne Barr (and hubby), an allusion to Twin Peaks, a psychedelic video-game sequence, a promised (for those who can hang on that long) climactic 3-D sequence, an overall contemptuous jokiness, an ungripping if not ungraspable storyline. In sum, a mess.

This movie could have been much better. The characters are hit and miss, with the stereotypical "tough girl" being a huge miss. Despite being a total bitch, she just doesn't manage to be much else. The last 20 minutes or so are the 3D part, and the 3D gags suck so very much. For sure one of the weakest films in the series.

An infuriating waste of a premise.

Gives a countdown of the failed attempts to kill Freddy in the previous installments before itself trying a method of offing him that didn't succeed in the first film. Freddy's Dead is quite probably the weakest Nightmare film of all, recycling the same bankrupt ideas minus the great death scenes that even the series' limpest installments brought to the table. After that, it simply ain't scary.

Freddy's Dead is bad sure, but it's bad in a cheesy fun way, Freddy is full of one liners and jokes here but i like some of it and i have seen it probably more times than i should

And though I haven't seen all of the Elm Street sequels, this is the worst from the ones I have. The silliest deaths, the crappiest performances (yes, even Robert Englund was bad in this one), the stupidest screenplay, and the most painful direction

The Final Nightmare would be followed by New Nightmare. Nightmare City predated it by 11 years, and Night Train to Terror has nothing to do with this at all. Sorry for bringing it up.

This is the worst Nighmare yet, bad performances, cheesy special FX, and a poorly developed plot, this may be forgotten and I'm glad this is not the last of the series.

Easily the worst of the Elm Street series because for some reason they thought making it like a comedy would be a good way to end the series. While its not a bad film, it is disappointing in what has been a great series. None of the characters are likeable, but Robert Englund is still bringing plenty of life to Freddy as always. Good to see some more history about Krueger too. Overall not the best way to finish the series, but the end credits were great as they showed bits from all six films :)

This one got a little too cartoonish, but was still fairly decent. Johnny Depp has an excellent cameo. Roseanne and Tom Arnold are there briefly - it's weird - I remember the VHS box making a big deal out of them back in the 90's but they were barely there for even a minute. And why would a town without children hold a town fair? That was kind of bizarre.

Not much of a film as it is being a pointless stream of dumb gags and a dumb plot.
