Slightly better than the two films preceding it, this has good acting and imaginative direction to dress up its familiar body-count scenario. The title, though, is a cheat, as our boy Jason doesn't even reach the Big Apple until the last half hour.

Jason might be on the boat pretty much the whole time but this was another fun slasher that i get a kick out of, when Jason finally gets to NY it's great to see him there

A great horrible movie. When it's not slow, it's so entertaining. But it's slow a lot. Additionally, it's damn stupid.

Sub-soap opera acting, and it wasn't even filmed in New York, but it has a few awesomely horrible moments. My favorite has got to be the decapitation scene.

Suprisingly entertaining for the 8th part of an essentially dead at 2 franchise!

This movie shuda been called Jason takes teenboat or sumtin. Unfortunately most of this movie takes place on a boat, heading towards new York , and we only get Mr.Voorhees stalking teens in the city way at the end. I like this more than I should simply for the audacity of tricking an audience into thinking that we'll get to see Jason TAKE Manhattan, we're gonna see Jason clean up Harlem or whatever, but nope, Jason takes a budget cruise and walks around New York at the end for about 10ish minutes then gets hit by New York's sewer water which somehow has the powers to turn you back into a kid, HUH

The worst of the series. Misleading premise, boring plot, I-could-care-less characters and crappy camera work. Feels really forced, but at the same time there's no effort at all to eek out a thrilling slasher.

This is "the one on the boat". Jason hops on a cruise ship and heads for New York. The main problem with this one is that Jason does an awful lot of hiding and waiting, even though his character is past that stage - the last few films were building him up as a straight-forward unstoppable force who locks onto a target and attacks. Some good kills in this one, but the main characters are insipid and the ending is full of confusing suck.

I was kind of hoping to see Jason lead a full on tactical assault on Manhattan. This does not happen.

The interminable story retold in the standard manner, though with less gore than usual; fans of the series, if any remain, are likely to be disappointed at the way the film cuts away from the action at the many moments of teenage death.

Waitasecond. The cruise ship left from Crystal LAKE. Lake--as in surrounded on all sides by land. How did it get to New York? Sadly, this nonsense isn't even CLOSE to being this movie's biggest problem.

This is a horrible move and I like it that way. I think I might be biased because I saw it theatrically when it opened and everybody there was having a blast with it.

One of the ugliest films I have ever seen. The whole affair doesn't even look like direct-to-video quality, it's barely television series quality.
