Sincerely underrated and unfairly panned by critics. aside from actually having most of the cast of Bridesmaids this movie feels like this year's lady-helmed comedy of the same caliber. Jennifer Westfeldt is a quick wit.

The plot of this movie, its very core, is so unbelievable that it detracts from anything else. Also contributing to its demise is its effort to market itself as a comedy, comparing it to the likes of Brides Maids. This film is not Brides Maids. It's a drama, and a poorly executed one at that.

This a strong indie dramatic feature about two friends who decide to have a baby and jointly raise a child. This is comical, heartwarming, emotional, romantic, and dramatic. -- Imagine the Indie Version of "He's just Not that into You" / "Sidewalks of New York" this is what you could get.

Adam Scott, as usual, stealing the show. A lot of underutilized actors here, however. And wonky editing left a lot to be desired. But overall, nice and somewhat fresh.

Animals with kids .... this is the life of animals .. as for Edward Burns he made looking for Kitty how can he start in this?? complete trash ..

An honest examination of relationships with a compelling, albeit predictable story.

Great performances from Adam Scott and John Hamm (although Hamm wasn't used much throughout the movie). Westfeldt's character left something to be desired, but I guess that was part of her character's charm. Abrupt ending, but enjoyable movie overall.

Fairly by the books in the end but noteworthy because of Jon Hamm and the fact that I would destroy Kristen Wiig.

Predictable ending, but I enjoyed the ride up to it.

'Friends with Kids' could be a great film, were it not for the main characters. It's the "friends" that bring the most drama. The ups and downs of their relationships are much more interesting than the manufactured relationship of non-couple Julie and Jason. The eye-rolls come mainly from the two of them. They seem to try too hard to be subversive until they try too hard to fit into sitcom-like conventions. The main characters as outsiders almost works until they give in and do a complete 180.
