One of the better vampire movies and definitely an 80's horror classic! Sarandon and McDowall are brilliant.

An amazingly 80s film about a kid fighting a vampire. It's awesome and the guy who plays the vampire is great.

Fun movie with a strong concept and a pair of great performances from Roddy McDowall and Chris Sarandon. The effects and make-up team deserve all the credit in the world here, as some of the movie's best moments stem from the vampire transformation sequences -- particularly an unused puppet left over from Ghostbusters that is truly frightening. For a comedy, it's a pretty laughless movie. Campy, sure. Funny? Not really. There's plenty of room for improvement here, hopefully the remake is better.

Decent horror-comedy, but it feels drawn out in places. Chris Sarandon is great as the vampire, and Roddy McDowall does a good tribute to Peter Cushing.

After witnessing a series of strange events a horror-loving everyteen suspects that his neighbor has been vamping it up and seeks out a fugazi TV Drac for help. FN starts out like a fun cross between Rear Window and The Burbs but since there is NEVER a question that this guy is indeed, a vampire, there is little suspense and the non-believers come off as clueless morons. Keep your 80s horror cliche scorecards at the ready, because this one has it all, including the "it's not REALLY over" ending.

For a cheap 80's vampire flick, this is actually watchable. Roddy Mcdowell is great, and Prince Humperdink makes a decent vampire. Evil Ed show's all the girlish talents that will make him a great future gay pornstar (that's acutyally true. Look it up on IMDB).

Entertaining, old-fashioned horror outing energized by Richard Edlund's spectacular special effects and highlighted by two wonderful performances, by McDowall and Sarandon.

This movie is so eighties, but so much freaking fun. The best part is when the suns coming up and Dandridge is going to his coffin, but Peter Vincent just closes it. Hilarious.

I watched this movie after I saw they were remaking it and 26 years later this movie still holds up. Can't wait to see fantastic make up effects replaced by cheap CGI. All the characters in this movie were great, especially the main character's sketchy best friend.

A campy horror film, yet it's ability to encapsulate the feel of the origins of the genre are what make this one worth checking out. Not to mention it finds a way to work in the laughs, without compromising the scares.

Embodying everything that is great about 80s horror, "Fright Night" is a criminally underrated gem that is nigh on impossible not to love, mostly thanks to Stephen Geoffreys and having Jack Skellington as the main villain.

Even with plot holes I enjoyed this 80's oldie very much. There was a lot nice puppet transformations and in the end the green oozing... something was hilarious though they never really explained who the heck it was. There was also some amount of necessary erotism and luckily they did not overloaded it with too much comedy.

Chris Sarandon is crazy good in this. He combines everything cool, sexy and frightening about vampires in films while not forgetting that this is a comedic film and keeping it funny. The supporting cast was also good, even when the acting wasn't especially strong I liked them. The FX are dated, but fun, and they get done what they needed to do. Very easy to recommend.
