Not that great at all. The first one was entertaining, but this is just boring. It might be enjoyable if you drank some cough syrup, and drank a six pack. Otherwise, just watch the original.

The world's about to be taken over by Prince's backup band and it's up to a hornier, less likeable version of Charlie and a jollier, crazier version of Peter Vincent to save us. Oh God.

i am a diligent film viewer. its very rare that i don't watch a film until the end, mostly because i have the desire to see if it ever gets better. but, fright night part 2 filled me with so much apathy, that after an hour i no longer desired to journey with charlie & peter on their vampire quest. i can't even get it a zero, because i don't even hate this film.

A band of vampires, looking more like a heavy-metal band, is out for blood. Well, yes, what else? Too many tricks and special effects by half (or by three-fourths), but some of the night maraudings are pretty creepy, and the queen-bee vampire (Carmen) is, or has, a striking figure, and the method of dispatching her is satisfyingly simple yet clever. The jokes can be abided with gritted teeth.
