Agent 99 has finally discovered the evil villain’s true identity. She takes page 2 of her most recent mobile phone bill and writes the name across it with her Mossad Pen. Turning on her travel hair dryer, she heats up the ink until it disappears. She walks down the block and casually throws out the phone bill. Though sometimes a little uneventful, this 007 film proves that it's not only action that makes James Bond great. From Russia With Love is one of the more charming 007 movies thanks the film's focus on the -who can you trust- side of being a secret agent. Really good!

One of the most cerebral bond films... and the Sean Connery film that feels the most like Daniel Craig's take in Casino Royal. This has to do with the pace and structure of the film more than their interpretation of the character. This is a good thing.

The Bond that most conveys spy thriller of the series. Connery brings full on manhood to the Bond role. Robert Shaw lacks the flair of later Bond henchmen but makes up for it in cold efficiency. The close quarter train fight is one of the best Bond fights. Daniela Bianchi is another Bond Girl success.

Bond is ruthless and sometimes even menacing, he beats down a guy in a train, destroys a helicopter and takes one of their men hostage.

A great spy film with intrigue, twists and intensity. Note that some Bond qualities like ridiculous world-ending schemes, enemy bases and gratuitously exotic locations benefit the movie with their absence.

Second entry in the series is the best, most archetypal Bond from which all future Bonds more or less derive; the only thing that time has taken away from it is to cause its extreme sexism to become intolerable. Remains one of the richest of the Bond movies, and one of the very few that deserves classic status outside of the Cult of Bond -- because it created the Cult of Bond.
