Summary: A cop is reassigned to a small danish village after having done "something terrible". Assuming that its an easy job he soon discovers that the residents have their own way of dealing with things.
aka (something rotten in jutland) add one mysterious femme, an odd mix of local characters, a reoccurring nighttime pram stroll, disappearing bodies....and you get one interesting dramatic danish delight. p.s.: you won't have to scrape away the boggy muck to see the coenesque fingerprints all over this one.
Kind of a noir League of Gentleman in the Danish bog, this sort of fell between two stools for me: the black comedy was not quite funny or black enough. That said, there's nice camerawork and an interesting setting.
Definitely a fun foreign watch. The story and acting are pretty good. Always has you on the edge of your seat. Shows what small towns are really made of, all over the world.
