The first animated feature film from Denmark - and Europe. The animation is sadly sloppy and very uneven. Pretty violent (includes a decapitation done by the unlikeable hero before he whistles away!).

Wow, Denmark actually did a color cartoon feature back in 1946! Wasn't expecting that! Actually the first of its kind in Europe. Wasn't too bad. Sure, the animation was a little all over the place, but it as full of that old cartoon charm and humor. I had a good time with this.
