G.O.R.A.

Full of references to both Turkish and International cinema, but not like it's sequel A.R.O.G. where there are only references and no story. This film has one, even if it's bad it works and its generally fun. The reason it's not really liked is because it didn't really met the expectations and Turkish people love to show their high tastes by thrashing things.

Broad and silly but enjoyable send-up of U.S. sci-fi epics has enough amusing in-jokes and performances to charm genre hounds, while telling a reasonably compelling sci-fi story of its own (unfortunately the effects work mightn’t past muster in a mid-level TV U.S. effort). Sometimes heavy-handed focus on the scatological becomes wearisome (this from someone with a weakness for fart jokes!) but can’t dent the overall modest charm of the enterprise.
