Terrible movie with the racist Hollywood idea that only upstanding WASPS can save/help the afro-american cause.

Not sure what the point of the film was. The victim's family is portrayed as perfect saints in the film, which feels condescending to the real life relatives of Medgar Evers. The villain is portrayed in every bit of the cartoonish, over-the-top manner as one would expect. Meanwhile, you have Earnest Young Lawyer Who Doesn't Play by the Rules, and eventually wins in a case far more boring and predictable than the worst re-run of Matlock. Lousy film.

A dramatic, inspiring, courtroom drama with an outstanding performance by James Woods as the villain.
