This movie is incredibly unremarkable and unsure of what it's satirizing.

A rushed script/production mean that this film isn't really as funny as it deserves to be but it works well enough as an updated Carry On style romp with gags and language that are more vulgar but using very similar humour throughout. This does make for an uneven tone but, with more time to polish the script and sort out the comic timing and flawed tempo of some scenes, it could have been a laugh-out-loud film; sadly it's actaully a few giggles film - miles better than Carry On Columbus though!

There are a couple of laughs here, but not enough to justify the run-time; instead, it plays out like a typically weak British comedy, trying hard to be quirky and failing miserably. Sally Phillips makes a relatively sweet heroine, however, despite the faltering mishmash of a screenplay.
