Damn funny, one of many off-the-beaten-path films IFC introduced me to in 2004/2005.

Sweeney tries her best Spalding Gray impression. I know Gray didn't invent the concept of monologue performance art, but Sweeney is pretty much doing the same style. It doesn't work coming out of her mouth, though. Her attempts to sound natural come off as forced and too obviously scripted. It just felt wrong. Perhaps the problem is that her stories aren't that interesting. They're nice stories with a slight bit of pleasant humor, but they're not especially enlightening or insightful.
