A little corny, somewhat slow, and very predictable; but it still had Drew Berry Moore and Justin Long!!! So I liked it!

This is what I call a good romcom. The characters are and act believable. The funny parts were actually funny too (the Michael Bay joke is just great) and the expected sad parts work because you actually start liking those two.

A pleasant surprise that was one of the best comedies of 2010. At times it feels overly vulgar, but some of it seemed natural to the characters. Charlie Kelly and Jason Sudeikis weren't the stars of this film, but they are the ones that shined the most.

I actually quite enjoyed it, fantastic soundtrack, very likeable characters. Not great by any means, but decent for what it is.

All things considered, it could have been a lot worse.

Way better then I expected this to be despite the lack of chemistry between Barrymore and Long. I had thought that Barrymore looks way older than Long and now that I checked it through, I happen to be right. Still one of the better romance films I have watched in a while.

This is the girl that every girl thinks she is but isn't. The opening screen is priceless and oh so true!

Nothing too special. Lots of f-bombs....Not sure I believed the chemistry between Justin Long and Drew Barrymore. But a decently cute story,

Started out hilarious, but eventually got too involved with advancing the plot to keep up the pacing of the start. Nice supporting cast.

A decent rom com that unfortunately suffers from most of the same cliches of the genre. It's also one of the few instances where you wish that the "wacky friends" were featured more mostly because Charlie Day is so awesome. Features one of the worst Dinosaur Jr. cover songs I've ever heard.

Turns to shit pretty much after the 45 min mark, up to which point it was frequently hilarious. Mediocre fare kept from failing by Day (he should be in more movies), Sudeikis and Applegate.

Just a standard rom-com. It doesn't stand out in any way, if you ask me.

Provides a few laughs, but the film never levitates from the pool of mediocrity, into which the American rom-com seems to have dived.

I was forced to see this, and expected to hate it; BUT I'D SEE IT AGAIN DAMMIT! The first half of this movie is hilarious. The characters are great, and the jokes are at times brilliant. Since the film focuses on a long distance relationship, and not the standard romance plot, cliches aren't abound, well not as much anyway. That is where the second half fails, but can you end a romantic comedy any other way?

Damn good romantic comedy. And it's been far too long since we've had one.

Going the Distance is a breath of fresh air to romantic comedy lovers and has shown directors of this genre that they can erase some of these clichés and still pull off a good movie. In a time where internet dating and romances are at an all time high, this film shows the problems of these relationships. My only major flaw is that the chemistry between Barrymore and Long isn't strong which spoiled the realism of this film, other than that, I actually thoroughly enjoyed it.

Being in love with Charlie Day's idea of comedy I will obviously say there wasn't enough of him in the film. Or Jim Gaffigan for that matter. Besides that it is sort of an averagely enjoyable romantic film
