Summary: Rameshan Nair (Mammootty), the village improver, tries to reform thug Karakkoottil Dasan (Sreenivasan) & get him married. But when he recognizes the bride-to-be Rajani (Kanaka), as a girl whom he had once gotten nabbed for immoral trafficking, he blocks the marriage & later, also a job which Rajani took up. Later, he learns that Rajani was innocent, but by then, he was stuck with her. To get Rajani a place to stay, Rameshan had to pose as Rajani's husband, leading to misunderstandings at home.
