We don't ask for much from our Steven Seagal films. Only for Stevie to mercilessly and brutally beat down thugs even when they're lying on the ground, already incapacitated. Here, this is a bunch of shitty, boring exposition from people who can't act, including rappers with wooden, staccato facial expressions. Fight scenes rarely occur, and when they do, they're about as dull and generic as possible. A lousy, pathetic, disappointing film, even for the most tolerant of action film fans.

This is, by far, the greatest 21st Century American thriller with a supernatural twist at the end that dealt with death that was also shot in Germany and that also starred Ja Rule. Steven Seagal and Ja Rule together in a movie...can it get any worse?

If Seagal had spent any time in this prison he'd have earned the nickname Bubba pretty quickly.

Steven Segal is back. Older. Fatter. Slower than before. So to compensate for this his character is now patient and calm, full of wisdom and abhors violence oh wait that's always been his character hasn't it.

Laughable. I don't want to see Segal in a heist film, I want to see him beating the shit out of someone.

This was after all available in theaters. Maybe because they blow up a helicopter, maybe because they seem to think they are making a real actionmovie. Feels more like unused scenes from another movie.

How could I hate a movie with Stephen Segal and a rapper? It's mindless action, of course I'm going to love it!

A very forgettable terribly acted action films

Not even worthy of Steven Seagal. Ja Rule's performance beats his music though.

Doesn't have the charm of the early Seagals. This is just a very generic B action film about bad guys taking over a prison in a generic totalitarian near future setting. Steven seems fatter than ever. Ja Rule is pretty much superfluous, but he gets beat up a lot, so that's a plus (although it doesn't leave a scratch on him). Perfectly watchable if you don't care about plot, dialog, acting, originality or sets that aren't dark and damp.

He was dead for half an hour! Half past dead!!! I can honestly say this is Ja Rule's greatest performance
