Summary: Picking up precisely where its predecessor left off, Halloween II follows the same ill-fated characters as they encounter the knife-wielding maniac they left for dead in the first Halloween. It seems the inhuman Michael Myers is still very much alive and out for more revenge as he stalks the deserted halls of the hospital where his sister lays waiting. As he gets closer and closer to his terrified target, Dr. Loomis discovers the chilling mystery behind the crazed psychopath's savage actions. (Universal)

Slick but needlessly bloody. Sharply photographed and featuring a better-than-average supporting cast, but awfully pointless and predictable, with graphic murder scenes inspired by the first two Friday the 13th movies added in post-production by Carpenter. JLC is wasted.

Introduces a few positive feedback loops into the slasher echo chamber that the original film helped create three years prior. Highly competent and solid as a standalone genre entry, but starts to crumble at the corners every time you're reminded of the original.

A so-so sequel to one of the great films of all time. Nothing bad about this film per say, perhaps the best sequel in the franchise, but certainly nothing memorable, except, the Vader-like revelation that Laurie is big mike's little sister. Worth the occasional viewing.

it's depressing how quickly the slasher genre evolved into movies with homicidal superbeasts who cant walk faster than a lichen. this movie is so lean on the killing and so badly put together i was bored out of my mind. it's pretty sad that even though carpenter had a hand in this he couldnt manage to do anything even minorly interesting--and he was already in the process of making "the thing".

A huge drop in quality compared to the first movie. I liked cinematography style of the first one, and it's still here, but everything else seems to have worked better with Mr. Carpenter in charge. Story got worse with all that celtic supernatural stuff added too. Director/producers seems to overcompensate obvious shortcomings with graphic scenes of killings. A very nice pair of boobs that can be seen in this film is worth noting.
