A Rube-Goldberg machine is always fun to watch, no matter how flimsy its construction. This movie was a lot of fun, but that doesn't mean it was really good. Coincidences become interesting through their complexity, or simplicity, or surprising unusualness. This movie couldn't decide which of those directions it wanted to go in. It oddly combines frivolous happenstances with artsy direction and philosophical interludes.

An exploration of the cause and effect of apparently random events. Not very original. Audrey Tatou is underutilized. Nonetheless an enjoyable film if you aren't looking for depth of meaning or grand epiphanies.
