It's nice yet fairly uneventful in any aspect. There are nice touches here and there. Ultimately rather forgettable. Least Radnor is preparing for a new job for when '"How I Met Your Mother" finishes.

radnor has some good ideas; and definitely some good intentions, but sadly, those do not make a good picture. radnor's words shine in certain moments while generally the movie feels as if it's just good ideas for dialogues sown up together. the general story is naive and light-hearted, however it's lack of completeness prevent it from ever reaching the audience as a whole. radnor is yet to mature as a writer, so i'm going to let this one pass. a mediocre movie overall.

An unfunny comedy about uninteresting relationships. What almost saves it is Tony Hale in the role of "Sam #2". His affection for Malik Akerman and their scenes together borders on schmaltzy cliché but I'll take that over the rest of the film which is annoyingly selfsatisfied with its own (ostensible) charm.

I really enjoyed it overall actually. It was sweet, funny, well-written and well-cast.

happythankyoumoreplease is a pleasant film, but it's not much more than that. It's an easy watch, but it's not worth the time you spend with it. It's poorly paced, awkwardly written, and the characters don't progress or develop like you feel they should. It all feels forced because it's a movie, even if all the actors are likable enough to almost hold it together. It's not a complete waste, and it has its share of moments, but I can't recommend spending the 100 minutes it takes to watch it.

The indie score & LES locations can't hide that this is facile H'wood feel-good nonsense. 1) a lost ladies' man discovers meaning 2 life once he takes in a Movie Child, i.e. an orphan who never complains, cries, or needs anything more than some crayons & the inexplicably comforting presence of said ladies' man. 2) the protagonists r never merely self-absorbed, selfish or dumb in their choice of partners; they just need 2 know that they do, in fact, deserve love. Great if u like smoke up ur ass.

It felt like it should have been a cool indie flick but actually turned out to be a little self-referential and too whimsical for its own good. The film itself is fine; it's just that it's made up of pretty good moments but the sum of it all doesn't really amount to much. For this reason, the characters are a little hard to support because their actions are also a little disjointed. One of those, good for a rainy day-type film.

Now this is Josh Radnor's first indie movie that he wrote, directed, and starred in. The second was Liberal Arts.

Ted Mosby should stick to architecting, since he isn't much of a writer.

Radnor creates a cute little film that is less Rom-Com with drama, and more comedic drama that romanticises life. The writing and acting are decent, with characters that are easy to follow for the 100 min runtime. The direction is less so, with too many close-ups that make it seem like someone forgot you could zoom out. The film has a few sweet moments, but on the whole is rather forgettable.

I don't know why the couple are in this film. The only plot that is even remotely interesting is the main character and the little boy but the film tries to deviate from it as often as possible. Josh Radnor is terrible at everything creative.

I must confess I watched this movie only for Josh Radnor. After been watching HIMYM for years, I was really curious to see his movie and performance as a writer and producer. It reminds me "About a boy" in the beginning but Josh definitely has his own style. And I like his aspect of life, love and daily life details. Overall, I was very satisfied and look forward to more from him. More, please.

It did what it was trying to do very well but I guess I don't find what it was trying to do very valuable.

I'm usually really up for this type of movie, the first-world-problems-come-growing-up scene, but this one didn't connect as strongly as I'd hoped. Still good fun, though, and I really like Josh Radnor as an actor, detractors be damned.
