somewhat lacking in plot, but i can make consessions due to the fact that this is the progenitor of marvin the martian.

Haredevil Hare was the first appearance of Marvin the Martian and it would be only one of five appearances of the character. Marvin has a huge cult following and its probably because the few shorts he did appeared in where so damn fun. This short really was great and Bugs had me laughing throughout.

Unlike Elmer Fudd, I always found Marvin the Martian to be annoying as hell as a protagonist, unrelatable, and the Bugs and Marvin episodes to be the second-worst of the Looney Tunes, after Pepe the French Rapist Skunk. There aren't even any particularly good gags here; the creators just hoped that the setting of space and the Moon would be novel enough to pacify the kiddies. And judging by most of the ratings, they were right...
