It's over. A lot of people love Harry Potter. I can see why, it's just never resonated with me as much. I enjoy the books more (which I try not to say ever. It always sounds pretentious) Anyway, this movie has a lot of adventure and interesting visuals. I did find myself enjoying it. I think some parts lacked the dramatic weight that it deserved (certain character deaths & the climax, specifically) But, for a film series I'm not particularly passionate about, it was a strong finish.

the conclusion of both a movie and book series that long overstayed my welcome, and as tiring as it became i was happy to see it mature in a most gratifying manner. it's still a stupid kid's book and anyone who tells you otherwise is kidding themselves, but it does tickle the underused fantasy portion of the industry, and i can't really put it down for that.

Despite being the best of the series visually, it may have been the worst overall as a film. You could just feel how forced and rushed this installment was, even given the 2hr run time AND it being the second half of two parts. It all honestly moved much too quickly. Not to mention a few awkward scenes and poor dialogue deliveries throughout.

It was very good!!..but part one was better,it,s sad that is all over, but all have to come to an end sometime.
The final chapter begins as Harry, Ron, and Hermione continue their quest of finding and destroying the Dark Lord's three remaining Horcruxes, the magical items responsible for his immortality. But as the mystical Deathly Hallows are uncovered, and Voldemort finds out about their mission, the biggest battle begins and life as they know it will never be the same again.

Mildly disappointing considering the quality of 'Part I'. I'm not a big Potter fan, but this installment for me doesn't quite carry on the tight, effective storytelling of 'Part I', & ends up a slightly low key, flabby end to the saga. The Snape flashback section is arguably the series finest moment, but there is a lot of focus on the series' dull back-up characters, & much of the action, although certainly well produced, is not overly exciting. I'm moaning, but actually I did quite like it!

My Thoughts: "The ending of these great films is bittersweet. It's hard to believe there isn't going to be another great film to look forward to. I have loved the films as much as I have the books. You can't really say that with many films that have been transformed from books. But it's true with this series. But what a fantastic ending it was. Part II of the Deathly Hallows was exciting, action packed, emotional, and the best film of the entire series. I loved how dark it was. By far the best a

A little too much in terms of "epic moments" with something momentous occurring every few minutes. But in conjunction with Part 1 it makes more sense. A lot of the fat is gone, and the godawful epilogue is actually transformed into something decent. Yes, some bits throughout are going to be rather confusing to anyone not familiar with the source material, but they're not really the intended audience anyway. Production values are high, with massive battles that only occasionally get too busy.

Absolutely phenomenal. As an avid Potter fan since the 90's, this is the film I was waiting for. I just didn't know it yet. This movie is so good that it justifies every film before it - yes, even Goblet of Fire. David Yates does the impossible here and actually manages to bring the sheer greatness of the book to life. Everybody is at the top of their game, and I cannot express how fantastic it feels to see this achieved. I love HP, and this movie exemplifies everything I love about it.

Its got more deus ex machinas than I care to mention. Full of payoffs for characters we barely know or care about from the films. And it blatantly panders to everybody who grew up reading the series. That is why this was a great finish. If you haven't read the books, you probably won't care. The CGI is good and it does exactly what it set out to do. Easily the best of the series. I've now finished the books and movies and no longer have to care about Harry Potter stuff.

The three main characters no longer need to speak to each other, somethings are just said with an expression or a nod and thats what only 8 films over a decade can do. The Potter universe has taken us from childish innocence to the dark final showdown against you-know-who! Rickman is once again fantastic as Severus Snape and his only advisary to the throne of great Potter actors is Ralph Fiennes who truly is you-know - fuck it his name is Voldemort!
