A guy wakes up with no memory in a cramped concrete labyrinth with a bleeding abdominal wound. As he struggles through tight corridors, he eventually encounters a similarly injured woman and they attempt to escape together. The claustrophobia is palpable as Tsukamoto shoots the whole thing in extreme closeup, the greasy walls always pressing in at the edges of the frame. There's some hazy hallucinogenic visuals, and the ending beautifully explains everything without a word. Great stuff.

Creepy atmosphere, but too convoluted for what is a 50 minute movie - they could've trimmed this to 15 minutes and it would still have been the same movie.
