Young Frank (Mills), an outcast in his small lumber mill town, falls for the gorgeous Sylvia (Swank), the daughter of an engineer hired by the grizzled mill owner, Logan Reeser (Robards), to save the business -- and the town. A greedy investor (DeSantis) wants Reeser to rape the redwood forest or close the mill. With a little luck and lots of enthusiasm, the young couple devises a scheme to save the town, despite the treacherous doings of a jealous rival (Batinkoff). (rottentomatoes.com)
