Summary: While they're on vacation in the Southwest, Rae finds out her man Michael spent their house money on a classic car, so she dumps him, hitching a ride to Vegas for a flight home. A kid promptly steals Michael's car, leaving him at the Zip & Sip, a convenience store. Three bumbling robbers promptly stage a hold up. Two take off with the cash stranding the third, with a mysterious crate, just as the cops arrive. The robber takes the store hostage... (imdb)

This is one of those "comedies" where everyone is a dick to the protagonist for no discernible reason. It's just artificial tension created since the writers couldn't actually come up with a compelling narrative of any sort. Avoid.

Plays more like a lighthearted drama, it's plenty amusing although fails to generate much in outright laughs. Good fun stocked with wacky characters who are not overly likable or annoying makes for an interesting combination.

I was forced to watch this piece of crap on a bus trip. I had no MP3 player since I had just gotten out of Air Force Basic Training, and I had no way to escape. I hate you Jamie Foxx. I don't care if you nailed your role in Ray. I hate you.
