The very definition of "crude but effective". This is an enjoyable film, and I applaud many of its sentiments. (I wonder what McLaren thought of _Threads_.) Unfortunately, it was made by a young naive filmmaker who had no idea that the Nazis were up to gassing millions of Jews. The "we the people can overcome" message is downright silly when you know damn well how stupid and worthless "the people" are. Milgram, anyone?
