A strange, yet darkly clever entry in the Hellraiser saga, this one features three different time periods, and follows the bloodline of the man who created the puzzle box, and shows how his descendents try stop the terror of Pinhead and his Cenobites. This film also puts Pinhead in space, which is undeniably cool. This is truly the most creative of the entire saga.

It's usually a pretty sure sign a flick's in big trubs when an auteur signs his work "Alan Smithee," the standard pseudonym adopted by disgruntled directors. Unhappily for horror hounds, this movie is no exception to that celluloid rule. The film's actual helmer, veteran FX ace Kevin Yagher, does accept design credit for Pinhead's pet hellhound, "Chattering Beast," which ranks as one of this otherwise weak sequel's few horrific highlights.

A gyp. You think it is going to be cheesy cenobytes in space, but it's a guy on a spacestation telling flashback stories about the history of the box. When they finally have some action onboard the ship, it might as well be a warehouse. Severe timeline issues, like Pinhead (cenobyted circa WWI) being on a first name basis with a demon who has been on Earth since the 1800s. For the most part, the kills are just plain stupid. One good quote though: "I am so exquisitely empty."

Slightly better than the third due to an over the top view of the hellraiser story, explaining and sort of relating all the movies which has been , and follow. Sort of cool but not the greatest acting . All the shit in the past and in the future are so silly, tho the past sort of works, cos damn, there were allotta silly , simple people back then! Again, only for the fans of the series.

Once again this hellraiser (as the previous ones) makes no sense (if you want it to make any sense) although it tries desperately in some regard. This hellraiser is actually "the end of hell" and should be watched after all the other Hellraiser movies (not that it matters that much). Some nice gore and action scenes make for an enjoyable evening.

A bit better than the III, but not exactly a brilliant movie. Fewer gaping plot holes than I have become accustomed to in this franchise, but lacking in either horror or gore.
