The Hellraiser franchise reignites a little, even if it is in the more introverted, subdued vein of 'horror'. In fact, it's not a horror movie at all, more of a graphic supernatural thriller, and despite being slightly better than the previous few films, that's really not saying much for it. Acting: ok, script: an improvement on the last couple of hellraisers, plot: thriller, not horror, Special effects: reasonable, but not even that good for 2002.

By far the best Hellraiser in this horror series. It's actually more of a thriller. Less Pinhead equals more psychological warfare behind the camera. A great main actor best known for his role in the series Oz, Dean Winters and the return of the (now beautiful) Ashley Laurence make for a great watch! Horror and thriller fans, please don't miss this, it's very much underrated!!

Again a nice attempt at a hellraiser movie! a solid script, decent acting and some strange shit here and there makes a good watch! Again like Inferno a couple of good twists , and slightly better story because we get to see Kirsty Cotton again! If only they continued going up in the series, cos after this , it was all downhill.

It's another mystery-romp in the Sixth Sense sense, completely stripped of talent and finance.

Similar to Inferno, but they try to shoehorn in Kirsty, the hero character from the first three movies. If I hadn't just seen part 5 this might have rated a little higher, because I am a sucker for madness in film.

Originally written without Pinhead but adjusted to get produced, this is a creepy story with some amazing surreal scenes. The video camera girlfriend murder is as twisted as that can possibly be.

The second (and FAR worse) of the "It was all a dream" duo of Hellraisers. Avoid unless you like Dennis Duffy

A horrible truth is dawning on me: since the Hellraiser movies are all about pain, pleasure and suffering, I think the movies themselves are actually metaphysical puzzle boxes that remove pleasure from the equation but only force the viewer to experience horrible suffering. It's actually kinda clever of the makers and, of course, completely intentional. Or maybe I'm just going balls-to-the-wall insane from all these incredibly shitty sequels.

The best Hellraiser since the sequel. Handles dementia as well as Jacob's Ladder and manages to out-creep Silent Hill.

The technique of the main character's life delving into maddness and the camera quickly spinning back to reality is overused to the point of absurdity. The acting is relatively good, still the lead in Hellraiser 5 probably the best acting out of the series. The movie itself feels more like Silent Hill than the original Hellraiser. It's not very scary, the story has some holes and the cinematography isn't as crisp or impressive as Hellraiser 5. It's not terrible but it's not good.

Somewhat interesting story, but very disjointed and confusing at times. Ties up the 'loose end' of Kirsty in the series finally. At the very least, all the Hellraiser movies have excellent cheese value. Good to watch (and make fun of) with friends.

Not as horrible as Hellraiser 5, but not golden either..it sums up as a fair thriller with a bit of sexual perversion and cenobites added.
