The premise is interesting and some of the gags are funny, but it doesn't amount to more than that.

This is not the easiest cartoon to watch because it's so stylized and abstract. I'd pretty much only recommend it for animation buffs.

A bit better than I gave it credit for as a kid, as the core concept of musical symbols being characters in a symphony is an amusing and creative one. However, this can't change that the animation itself is pretty boring, with nothing in the way of humor, and the specific gags were things recycled from earlier Looney Tunes cartoons, only less effectively. It's alright, but don't believe the hype.
