Perhaps Allen's worst film. I have no objection to jokes about the blind, but these jokes just aren't funny. Treat Williams is good though, and so is Leoni.

A chaotic look at the industry through some very neurotic eyes (or, lack of). Okay, the blind bit was tired from the get-go, and it's in a large portion. ugh. This is still solid Woody besides that, damn it.

A Woody Allen movie from 2002. It's a typical Woody Allen flick. It's good... go watch it.

I think the story takes way too long to build up - it's an enjoyable comedy after the first hour.

One of the better films from the "everything is mediocre" phase of Allen's career.

Self-parody slapstick with as great a premise as the plot, timing, and supporting cast is mediocre. Partly hilarious though - and containing probably the best line about masturbation ever: "For me, the nicest thing about masturbation is afterward... the cuddling time".

Hilarious comedy may not delve as deeply as some of Woody's other films, but it provides a far higher ratio of genuine belly laughs than usual. Entire cast is excellent, but Woody's comic performance stands out, especially some of his vitriolic confrontations with Leoni. Screenplay has amusing gentle jabs at modern film-making, as well as specific references to Woody's own career.

it gets all the right marks for woody allen, it is hilarious. all the funny points, but only some of the right points for character development and storyline.

One of the most enjoyable comedies Allen has ever made, "Hollywood Ending" is a witty and often hilarious story about a director who attempts to direct his comeback while blind. Allen is excellent as always, mixing his typically neurotic characters with outrageous misunderstandings. This is fresh, funny, interesting and well-played.
