Homebodies

A neat premise which I am surprised hasn't been remade.

I watched this due to the enthusiasm of Nick Pinkerton (who i happen to think is the best non-academic film critic currently working). I wouldn't go as far as to call it "good" exactly, but it's definitely a one-of-a-kind oddity. Like the kind of thing you'd stumble upon randomly on cable one night and find weirdly, inexplicably fascinating. Also the theme song is great (even more so for how tonally off it is). Say what you will about Cincinnati, but they sure make movies differently there.

There is a fear of being forgotten by society and living as an unseen entity even while you still have life. I suspect that fear grows as one gets older. I liked how this film touches on this subject. Despite liking the premise I found its execution boring to watch.
