A Weinstein Co. animated movie on par with Doogal, which is to say it's on par with being awake through open heart surgery. Painfully unfunny, and the animation looks beyond cheap, like it was rendered on an N64. Dodge at all costs.

On paper this is a terrible film, (cheap animation, 'street' retelling of a fairy story) but the sense of humour and some of the comic performances are so good I have rewatched it many times! The 'parallel stories' device is artfully done, making this captivating on a first viewing and giving it rewatchability. "Look out for KEITH..."

Hideously ugly animation makes this a tough sell from the get-go, but it does evolve into a reasonably clever “Rashomon Red Riding Hood”, with a decent voice cast highlighted by fine work from Warburton who “Warburtons” it up with droll glee. Might have been more impressive had SHREK never existed, and it’s a shame that the multiple perspectives are abandoned after the first half, becoming a long-winded and repetitive showcase for predictable mayhem. A fun idea botched in the execution.

Mediocre production values notwithstanding, the humor is there, as is the requisite cleverness, allowing it to be a passable timewaster for all members of the family.

With animation now that is horrendously outdated, "Hoodwinked!" is at a massive disadvantage, but the truth is that it's still a well written, entertaining story. But the difficulty with early computer animated movies is that most of them never had a chance at being timeless like the Disney movies of yore.

I really liked the style (perhaps mish-mash of styles is more accurate), animation and multiple-angle-narritive thingy but there weren't enough good jokes. I suspect it may also be a bit 'talky' for a younger audience. At only 80 it dodged outstaying it's welcome -just.

It might some downsides with poor animation, ugly human character models and a shaky plotline but it has to be admired in originality. Non-human character designs are great with enjoyable crazy humour, good voice cast and unique concept. Many of the characters are pieced toegether well during the film and there are many references to other popular film throughout the movie. The ending might be predicatble from reasonably early on, but this provides the bones for a potentially great sequel. Good.

An imaginative take on Little Red Riding Hood with some interesting voice casting (which worked) and light humour throughout. People get hung up over the animation quality, - so its not the best, but it's far from the worst out there. This should keep both the kids and older family members entertained. Marks for an original twist.

Surprisingly good, despite the crappy animations. A pretty fun and comprehensible plot line for the kids and older folk alike, and I enjoyed how the same scenario was replayed through from various characters perspectives a la 'Rashomon'.

It does have a certain intangibly strange charm about it, but ultimately is never inventive or clever enough to be worth anyone's time. The animation is catastrophically terrible by todays standards; with horrible models, textures and movements. In fact even by 2005 standards the animation was still an absolute disaster.

A cute movie with a zany cast of characters in a surreal quasi-accurate mishmash of several fairytales. Hang on, that made it sound bad. It's actually excellent fun. The dialog is witty, the story is twisty, the animation is lovely. One of my favorites.

The script is surprisingly well crafted for a film seemingly coming off the heels of Shrek's fairy tale satire. Each voice artist brings something unique to their characters. Patrick Warburton steals the show with a deliciously funny performance. The animation however leaves a lot to be desired.
