"Horton" adaptation with Jim Carrey and Steve Carell sporting some voice-work here scores a few points for laughs and overall amusement, but feels a little light and a little cobbled together. Not an engaging story, but the message actually doesn't fail. Kids will like it and I guess I was more impressed with this one than that Kung Fu-ing panda. The comedy could be sharper here and the story more engaging, but then again this is Dr. Suess, not Wall-E. Overall, it's a solid toon.

Breezy and fun entry in the "Silly enough for kids, enough clever references for adults" children's genre. These are so common nowadays after Shrek that I take them for granted; I was certainly entertained, but I don't remember it at all nor do I have the desire to run out and see it again.

Downright hilarious at times. My problem with it is that outside of Whoville, the only characters that aren't annoying are the minor characters, Horton is a bore and the villians are terribly cliche. The minor characters were great however, especially the monkeys, they had me in stitches. Also, everything that went on in Whoville was absolutely fantastic, it was perfectly handled and I feel that it sent out a great message, even though it gets really heavy handed at the end.

Fun movie. Anime sequence went over kids heads. Singing can't fight this feeling is a poor way to end the movie.

A solid animated film with a some likable leads and great animation.

Some fun for kids but they deserve better. Nothing here for adults. Some of the CGI is inventive, especially in bringing Whoville to life but no amount of technical competence can make up for the fact that the story has no real spark or soul. There are no real characters here, and slapstick humour can only go so far. The for-grown-ups content consists of bad pop culture references that already feel dated, and a hamfisted political ideology that will either alienate or patronize adults.

Dear Hollywood: Stop making movies out of Dr. Seuss books!

A pleasant surprise. Blue Sky Studio remain well ahead of Dreamworks, but still an awful long way behind Pixar.

Same 'no matter how big or how small' crap that seems to have infested the cynical world of children's entertainment. For kids this is great, but if I had one of my own I'd be showing it true quality, like STAR WARS IV-VI, Indiana Jones or Alien.

The animation is like nothing you havfe ever seen. Its pretty amazing. And the strory is pretty fabulous too.

This is a nice little film with great computer animation. There are some funny voice performances and the story is cute.

A solid and higly underrated adaptation of the novel. The animation is quite fun, and there's loads of heart and humor crammed in between minutes. The land of Whoville is also very quirky, crazy and downright pretty. All in all a decent movie.
