Awesome

Films of the pre-60s are bad. They are sexist, the men are always ugly (why?) and annoying, they have torturing long talking scenes, cheesy music and a boring storyline. The only best thing about is the women -- Most are quite pretty. Btw, why is that the films in that age are always boring? I thank them, cos without them, there would've been no modern films.

Creepy and campy, like most Vincent Price movies.

Wonderful! Price is so creepy, and has so much adoration for his wax people. He's a man with goals, and your being alive just happens to be in the way of them. What a neat villain. The setup at the beginning takes a while, but the payoff is absolutely worth it. Really eerie and good.

Well, it’s not a good movie. But it’s a fun one. The concept is a little thin to be stretched into a feature-length film and it definitely felt like it here. It’s mostly ignored, but there are a few unbelievably obnoxious scenes and shots obviously designed for 3D. You can easily see the film is influenced by other horror films, like Frankenstein (1931) and Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde (1931). Yeah, it’s just a fun, silly (though maybe unintentionally so) horror movie.

Large swathes of this are corny as hell, which is expected, but there's a really refined sense of menace and dread running through the film.

Screw the remake, check this out instead

Not one of Price's best movies, but one of his more interesting roles. The film is pretty cheesy at times, but always very fun. The melting wax figures are genuinely unsettling.

Price hams it up with his usual elan. Bronson is his brain-damaged assistant.

Great movie, all the wax people were so creepy, and Price's performance was brilliant! There was suspense and action too. I really enjoyed this movie, and I recommend it.

i was enthralled the entire way through, from the begining it set me up to be very entertained, and did not dissappoint. some great special effects and an awesome story.

Great payoff, while the setup is slow and boring, it builds momentum throughout. Great underrated horror flick, with Price in my top 10 killers of all time after watching this.

Vincent Price and murders. Groovy. Good even if you don't see it in 3-D

The opening 15 minutes are magnificent and, while the rest of the film struggles to live up to them, Vincent Price is great and the sense of horror is very well done.

3D was as much a cancer on films 50 years ago as it is today. Heaps of pointless scenes that were clearly thrown in purely for their 3D effects that try and distract you from a weak plot that had a mildly interesting premise and set up. At least it has Vincent Price in it.
