A horde of rapidly mutating and slimy frog creatures attack a small fishing village, intent on slaughtering the men and mating with the women. A deeply silly film about dudes in rubber monster suits chasing naked girls and getting shot up by rednecks. There's bunch of time wasted on a meaningless subplot about a cannery to be built in town and a group of Natives trying to stop it, but the whole thing gets chucked out the window once the blood starts to flow.

For me to enjoy, bad movies must be fun (intentionally, or not). This Creature From The Black Lagoon rip-off is just bad, and dull. Acting is horrible, story is horrible. I liked the arms of the creatures though. Wouldn't watch it again.

A cannery company called Can Co. Yep. Besides the bubz this is worth the price of admission alone for the fight scene outside the rec hall near the start of the movie, oh my goodness.

The Serial Rapists from the Black Lagoon. Good family fun with plenty of boobs, gore, vacuous characters and inane dialogue. Acting is all top notch, at least the dog anyway. The humans all sucked but that dog...WOW. The way he barked and then stopped, looked pensive, barked, peed on a tree, then barked again. Wait, maybe that was Doug McClure. Never mind.

My GOD this is a mean movie. This is one of those movies like Child Bride or The Blue Lagoon that, by its mere existence, says really dark things about humanity. Not least because this sleazy rape fantasy was directed by a woman! I don't even know how to parse that fact, but it creeps me out. That said, I have to give this thing some credit because James Horner's music and Rob Bottin's effects are really quite good. Those two build a lot upon this film, but the foundation is awful.

Boobs, boobs, boobs, boobs, carnage, boobs. Fin.

So bad its actually good.
