One of my favorite soundtracks around.

There are some interesting characters that permeate the script, that even manage to say some interesting things, but they seem more like countercultural objects for the uptight protagonist to come in conflict with rather than actual individuals in and of themselves. Some of the plot devices are so transparently dubious that it's difficult to award the emotional weight of the conflict on its own merits. Even with all its faults, there is some value in the message of Humboldt County.
