Memory says not completely bad. The basic idea is good but the realisation is sort of clumsy

Written by, directed by and starring Jeff Garlin, Larry David's manager from Curb Your Enthusiasm, and it feels a bit like an episode of Curb. It has a very weird plot structure, as in there isn't really a plot. This small period of the main character's life is not his best or worst time, just a transition period, and barely that. It was funny, but not that funny. I dunno, it was a really odd experience. I can't recommend it one way or another.

A fun and underused twist on the romantic comedy, this left just a little too much to my imagination. I'm glad I caught this under-the-radar flick but I suspect it'll stay there. Wanted a little more from the characters.

The only time the film hits is when Silverman and Garlin are let loose in the supermarket. Beyond that, for all the supposed 'comedic' talent on display, the entire effort remains shockingly unfunny.

An occasionally funny "romantic"-comedy, this is more of an exercise in self-appreciation. Silverman, Sedaris, and Hunt are funny as always, but I have a hard time swallowing Garlin as a lead in anything, let alone a romance.
