As much as I admire Arrabal (mostly for his work in theater rather than cinema), this pansexual, new-agey romp is a sadly transparent affair, a cheesy, tame and mildly disgusting relic devoid of any of the boiling anger that gave Viva la Muerte its power.

Too frank and campy to be a curious piece of intellectualism. One can admire some of the stances, but as a huge fan of Jodorowsky and the Panic Movement, my first Arrabel experience leaves me with a sickening malaise.

Perversion disguised as intellectual surrealism, not even funny.

Arrabal's best and one of the greatest surreal films. Weird, brutal, perverse and intelligent.
